When you purchase a puppy from Windcreek Kennels you can be assured That you're getting an outstanding puppy which as been bred from some of the finest Field Trial and Hunt Test Retrievers in the United States an Canada. This means that not only do the males come from the best of AKC and HRC programs, but we believe that our females have proven hunting experience as well. All our Retrievers are working Retrievers.
We are also very serious that are puppies are free from hereditary hip and eye defects. This means that all dogs in our breeding program have their hips certified by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) as 'Good' or 'Excellent' and have their eyes cleared through the Canine Eye Registration Foundation (CERF). It is our obligation that you receive not only a high quality puppy but also to perpetuate hereditary soundness of future Labrador Retrievers. It's our guarantee.
To insure that your puppy gets off to the right start, all puppies will have their dewclaws removed, be given a general health examination by our Veterinary, will receive its first set of shots and wormed if necessary. All pups will be implanted with a 'Home Again' microchip to insure not only that you are the legitimate owner but also to provide a permanent identification for OFA and CERF evaluations.
Your puppy will also have gone through our 'Jump Start' Program. This Program is designed to give your puppy an introduction to decoys, calls, birds, guns, and water (weather permitting). Your puppy will also be introduced to crates. We feel that crate training is just as important as birds and decoys as this will produce a better 'traveling' dog. But the most important aspect of our program is socialization. Your puppy will be pampered, hugged, played with, and just plain loved. To him or her, "Retrieving + You = Fun" !
Should you decide that you would like one of our puppies, we ask that you contact us for current litters. A $200 deposit will secure a pick from a current litter or from one of our future breedings.
